The Little Things Worth Remembering As We Embark On The Last Lap Of Our University LifeToday, I guess is probably the last of the RE girls meeting and gathering together for project discussions. After the submission of our negotiation report this Thursday, it will mark the end of the projects! For all the projects that we have done, it taught us and we mastered one skill, that is 'chop carrots' or rather I meant reducing word count. But today, we just learnt another skill just at the very end and last of our projects, 'grow carrots' which meant we had to increase our word count, which also meant we had to crap through over way till we hit 10,000 words, yet another dissertation.
Interesting, we became more philosophical after the 4years, describing our thoughts with chinese proverbs, to further elaborate what we want to put in our report. And also 'ji dan' was the word of the day.............First there was this sudden burst of 'chou ji dan' from Lim, F (2009)...next was 'ji dan gao' from Lin, L (2009)...soon to come would be 'shui shui dan' from Chua, Y (2010 ?) But then again that word had been coined by her since the day she ordered chicken rice from Techno!! Probably should date that back to 2005....got to checkt he archives!!! :)
So fast time passes, the 4 years of NUS is coming to an end in just another 3 weeks...Pray hard that the friendships forged would remain and that more good memories to come by...'United we stand, divided we fall' guess that's the appropriate term to describe the future...
All the birthday surprises, the projects days, the celebrations.....All the experiences that we had with one another...this 4 years didn't come that easily...and by chance we walked into the lives of each other....how often does this great chance drop by ?!?!
Just the final lap to go...
Guess besides the planning of our individual graduation trips, we should also plan the FIRST post graduation gathering too...get everybody booked and get excited about our
FIRST REUNION after we leave the sheltered walls of SDE!!! Something to look forward to...let the SEC group grow beyond what we have, include all partners of the members...Let us have more than we ever had before.... :) Though there's a likelihood that we may shrink and break away in the future...But at least for now, look on the bright side :)
