yes..this is the entry pass to the world's largest ferris wheel..the SINGAPORE FLYER!!!

on saturday BB brought me out for a date..he took me on the singapore flyer..of course before embarking on this flight, there are many things to be taken into consideration..the weather condition, the clear blue sky..otherwise the view wouldn't be that great and would be waste of time..

also when queueing to board the capsule, always have good timing, rush into the capsule or distance yourself from others then you wouldn't need to cramp with so many others..more private space..well for us, the capsule just had both of us and another couple..cosy for 4 people..they occupy a corner and so did we..just not invading into each other's pak tor space

but i will say that our choice of day was good, because we boarded around 6pm and there was NDP rehearsal, so we could see the practices and managed to see the parachuters and the helicopter with the s'pore flag..also managed to hear the practice of the 21 gun salute..

dinner was also at the flyer..we had popeye's chicken..yum yum! super crowded and the queue was maddness..lack of seats too..think going to changi airport to eat would be a better choice..

the whole day was terrific :)

TADA!! my pear and raisins crumble

this is yet another week of slacking at home.but with slightly more activities lined up..

monday, tuesday..went cycle and run at the cemetry with ryan and pam..gosh we got old bones, the next day we were suffering from butt aches and back aches due to cycling up the slopes and pushing our bikes..

wednesday was stay home day..i think if i don't remember wrongly..

thursday was a yummy day..i baked pear and raisins crumble..and i got good feedback..can set up my bakery and sell already..even uncle says that my crumble base was good..not bad! i improved, the first time i did peach crumble, my base was soggy..this time turned out better..the next time it shall even be better..this week i am going to make banana crumble..i shall try to bake every week of the remaining of my holidays and perfect the art of baking crumbles..hehe :) and of course shall try out some other pastries..

friday..noon went to PC show with bro course he was on off..and guess what! both of us wore the same polo tee, but we left home at different times so we were unaware..so we looked like a couple..haha..embarassing? ok lah..we went to compare prices of laptops and home threatre systems..i accompanied him to do some light shopping...and he treated me to kuriya dining for lunch and starbucks before we headed home..what a "free lunch" day for me..
evening brought pam and ryan to orchard..we went to cineleisure to watch kungfu panda..super funny and enjoyable..also we spent the whole evening eating..first we had dinner at sushi tei and pam treated..then we had muah chee from taka basement like 30mins later, course ryan felt hungry..then 30mins later we had popcorn while watching the movie..after the movie at midnight we went to eat rochor tau huay!!! a fun filled day with my brother and cousins.. :)

saturday was back to PC show..this time bro decided to get macbook instead of toshiba after much deliberation..we stayed from noon to 4pm then bro headed home to play with his new lappy while me and BB went to deliver stuffs, so i could earn some spare cash..still trying to recuperate my burnt pocket..and at night..we had BBQ party at home..can say it was like for father's day..haha..uncle did most of the cooking..we had crayfish, prawns, scallops, ribeye steak, squids, chicken, asparagus wrapped with pork...just a night of eating and chatting non stop!! family bonding.. :) i like it

sunday..BB went for race early in the morning at 7am at mount faber..then we had cravings for wantan mee..hehe..had planned to go orchard watch movie..sex & the city..then dad asked if want to go PC show..so i went again 3 days straight..okie..finally he gave in and bought me a new laptop..yeah!!! but i have yet to fiddle with it yet..after i wake up from my sleep then i shall play with it..

and of course..tomorrow..another day of hanging out with pam and ryan..cycling at east coast..pray for good weather.. :)

fisherman's wharf at SF..place where you will find all the yummiest clam chowder, sourdough bread, dunguness crabs..all sorts of seafood..and of course giant seagulls too..many years back when i first went there it wasn't that developed yet..now..think they reclaim and extended the area and got this place called pier39..embarcardo..and at the other end..it will be the golden gate bridge..SF has 2 bridges, the other is bay bridge..golden gate bridge is orange in colour and the other is plain..that's how to differentiate..i simply hearts SF the most..mark twain once said that the coldest winter he ever experienced was summer in SF..can you imagine it..we were ill prepared with clothes and end up buying fleece and scarf there..if i have a chance..i will migrate to SF.. can say that SF is the best place to shop..AF, ON, H&M, F21..u name it you got it..and all are so giant and 3 storeys..also i heart this 99cents drink called arizona..super nice to drink..pity spore doesn't have it..part of this trip was also to meet my dad's friend..had a meal, and we met up just last weekend in spore too..brought him out for a meal at jumbo..woah now i got friends all over the place, pity uncle jon wasn't in SF..

after 2 days at SF, we flew to anaheim..disneyland..time for some childhood..playing most of the rides except that i have yet to conquer space mountain..dear says that a person should go to disneyland twice in your life, once as a child and the 2nd when you bring ur kids there..well seems like both of us can only ride space mountain when we..hopefully bring our kids there..hehe..

part of childhood is of course to have breakfast with your favourite disney characters..haha..in disney resort, there are 4 hotels and each hotel during breakfast have different characters.. i wanted to eat with chip&dale as well as stitch..in the end i chose stitch because he didn't parade in disneyland, but i caught a glimpse of chip&dale during the night parade..hehe..what a rational kid..haha..not bad..i took photos with minnie, daisy, goofy, stitch and lilo..also..i got their autographs..kinda funny seeing their big gloved hands grabbing a pen and sign..but they sure are good at it.. the best part of the breakfast besides seeing the characters was the mickey mouse shaped waffle and minnie mouse shaped pancakes..haha..

this is berkeley..where the cal bears live..haha..meet hongjie and boy was the campus big..we couldn't find each other in the stadium..haha..he brought us walk around before he went back to studying for his exams..the campus was great and heard some funny stories..like this group of students lived up in a tree for a year already and they are called tree huggers..purpose..to protect the trees from being chopped down by the school..also heard of people being stabbed and shot dead..quite a scary place in fact..hongjie treated us to bubble tea..haha..a angmoh place with bubble tea..we had lunch at UCB, korean food..and it was pretty yummy, even better than our spore food courts..and while dear and me walked around the town by ourselves, we were mistaken as students of UCB and the angmohs approach us to ask for directions, luckily we just pass by the particular building and were able to give directions..2nd incident..a girl asked for directions how to take the BART back to downtown SF, since we were going to the same station, we asked her to follow us..she was a former student at UCB and was there to attend a friend's wedding..along the way we chatted and she's a harvard Phd student..woah..studying psychology..we talked to her about spore and well as usual we are a small city unheard of..she exchanged emails with me and told us to go boston visit her..hehe..maybe that shall me my grad trip destination..well i have yet to email her..soon bah..a new found friend

after LA we flew to LV..SIN CITY..i played jackpot and won money..but since it was a 1cent machine..so with 900 credits i won $9..had it been a $1 machine..woah that will be $900..i will be rich..LV changed super alot since i last went there..it used to be sandy roads, dessert..now..its a built city with the prettiest hotels.. venetian, bellagio, paris, newyork, MGM...

a one thing to experience..watch a musical..dear and me watch phantom and my parents went gambling..hehe..the theatre was superb..esplanade is small fry compare..had i had one more night in LV, i would have watch cirque..pity pity..

on the way home..just me and dear extended our trip to HK..this is our 2nd trip there..yeah..brought him to new places to shop and eat..and this time we went to the peak..the queue to take the tram was about an hour..gosh..so many tour groups just cut the queue and also don't know where all the people came from..so crowded..the tram ride was super steep..14degrees angle..think maybe that caused my leg sprain because we stood in the tram and my ankles were bent..the scenary was superb except that HK was rather foggy or hazy and the view wasn't that clear..

previously we went to avenue of stars in the night..dear decided that we should go there in the day..so hours before our flight home..i hopped my way there..and probably that jump photo shot helped to cure my sprain ankle..maybe the impact when landing twisted my ankle back to place..after that i was better..hehe..what a fluke..there was also a HK stars campaign to help raise funds for the sichuan earthquake that day..and they were also promoting HK or rather chinese anime..recognising all the characters and artists..so we took photos..the one is red is miss 13 dot aka shi san dian gu niang..like the pose that dear did..hehe..cute!

alrights finally i did a lazy way of posting the whole 15days trip..hehe..

june has finally arrived..hmm..been doing nothing much since i returned home from overseas..except slacking and being a couch potato all day long at home..

finally today i moved my bum out of the house and went to gym..but then can't do much course of the cough..have yet to fully recover yet..hopefully soon then i can go swim and do some running..getting fat already..

last friday BB and me wanted to watch movie, indiana jones but all the tix sold out till past midnight..instead on sunday we went to watch after he restored his energy after the sundown marathon..although his legs feel tired and sore, but he still accompany me out..gan dong! the movie wasn't that bad but i felt it was like a copy of national treasure..
more movies to be caught soon..sex and the city..kungfu panda..

well since i got nothing to do daily but play who has the biggest brain on facebook..hoping that my brain does grow bigger..haha..

and of course i have been assigned by the family to research on taiwan..hehe..yet another shopping trip but i have yet to find a source of income this holidays yet..
and friday night will be mahjong night..hope that i have a windfall from there then..this time we will be playing at a new house..rexson's..will his house prosper us?

okie tomorrow i shall go to ikea!!
