Has everyone had fun during CNY..did your ang bao collection shrink, due to bad economy?
My CNY has been OK..reunion dinner was supposed to be ate at home instead of granny house because mum didn't want to trouble granny to cook a healthier dinner just for dad..but i managed to negotiate successfully with dad that he can only eat food that i put on his plate, so we went to gran's house instead..
my dinner was fusion food..we had salmon or foir gras salad for appetizer..then the main dishes were chinese style..we had steam crabs and tang hoon, hot & sour soup, steam fish, spring chicken, stir fried vegetables..dad had fish soup with rice...hehe :)
on the first day, i prepared healthy snacks like almonds and raisins for him to snack at granny house, since he's not allowed to eat any cookies and stuffs...and also he's not allowed to eat eggs, so fried rice minus egg equals fried rice with pumpkin..hehe :) my new creation..that night we played "in between" and gosh..i almost had heart attack from paying all the doubles..my wallet went empty..bro's angbao money was all on the table..
2nd day? stayed home..but uncle and aunts and granny came over..mum cooked popiah and steamboat..some of them played cards, and the kids played taboo..my gosh..you will be amazed at the vocabulary of ryan..i was totally stunned...kids nowadays...
tomorrow afternoon would have to accompany dad to go for post op review..everything seems OK since he came home, especially with ME watching over his every move and every inch and everything that he eats..guess his trousers would soon get loose from the weight loss..

Everything is going all well and smooth and I thank God for that.
Dad's operation went well, now just need to recuperate and relax and most importantly eat healthy and do some light exercises. So in order to motivate him and support him, now the whole family have to eat healthy too, so that he doesn't feel that let out from the good yummy food. Everything that we eat now got to be low fat, less salt, no fried stuffs..etc..so long as its bad for the heart..because dad's heart has just been granted a new lease of life, and it's important to keep it that way. Also there's the case whereby the arteries make narrow again, but hopefully it doesn't, just have to eat medication, and he has to be a good boy and not eat too much fatty oily things..Pity him, everyday now have to swallow 10 over pills, and he is having allergy towards the medication which makes things not that good.
Just this round of events has enlighten him, and it's worrying when seeing him look OK towards the matter, but yet I know that deep inside he feels frighten and scared. After all the heart is an important organ.
From now on, every sunday I will bring him and mum for morning walks..every day mum and I will prepare lunch box for him to eat in office, so that he will not eat unhealthy stuffs outside. Wholemeal bread, fruits, lots of water to drink..

this week has been rather tiring and stressful on the mind and soul..
on friday accompanied dad to go see a cardiologist, and results are moderate but neither was it too optimistic..next week will accompany him to go for check up and do more tests..now all i can do is monitor him and keep him fit and healthy..hopefully he will be obedient and eat healthy!!
other then that matter, life is still pretty good..hanging around school and doing FYP..still stuck at survey questions..hoping for some progress next week..
on friday went shopping with dear..first we went to have jap yakitori at far east..scrumptious dinner..i love it..then went shopping at taka, i went on another curtain hunting, but this time its for my room..a nice silver grey curtain with black motifs..then dear bought a shirt from g2000 at half price and we bump into kenneth, also shopping for clothes..what a small world, always bumping into him at taka area..
now i am so bored at home on a saturday while dear is at his dinner and dance at ritz, themed MAFIA..so i dressed him as a street gangster..i lent him my aviators, rings, bracelet, scarf.. interested to see his photos and see what his collegues wore..hehe
what can i do now..just continue doing my fyp ..and hopefully tomorrow i will have more fun activities to do..

my first day of my last semester of school...
driving the same road that i have been driving for the past 4 years, but yesterday the road seem extremely longer distance..
went to school at 12 to meet mel for lunchie at arts..and i saw xuan too, pretty looking in her executive attire!!! we sat there and chatted nearly 2hrs before we went to IRC..we discussed about what to do when we graduate, planning a chalet / BBQ for SEC, our CNY steamboat venue, how does a batam spa trip sound?
and i am proud to announce that mel is the highest bidder for RE globalisation, she bid at the last round and all her points were used...6000+ points..*claps claps*...this uncle's lecture is kinda a combination of ah fook and uncle yu..sense of humour not so there but trying hard to be interesting...well shall attend his next lecture before deciding if the module is worth taking..but i think i will stay on bah, though the norm is that after the first lect half the class will drop the module.. *mel hold it there, survive with me*...
and welcome back ronald..his back from shanghai..good to see him doing well and matured.. :)
i like yesterday..it was a happy start for school.. :)
tmr shall bring camera to school to take fotos..
lastly..we shall all unite and conquer our 10,000 words mission..
this year shall be a MOOderful year!! smiles

yeah this CNY my house got new furniture..finally managed to change the table in the living room!!! saturday after dinner me and boyfriend drove down to tampines ikea and giant..my gosh the place was crowded to the max, even though it was around 10pm..anyway we managed to squeeze a 5foot table into dad's car by dismantling the back seats, and also a side table for granny...followed by grocery shopping..many many cartons of drinks and detergent and food stuff...back home at midnight and we or rather boyfriend piece the whole table together..and we seized the opportunity that dad was out drinking with his friend at the kopitiam, we hurriedly disposed the table and that slab of marble top...and as we expected, when he came home, he blew his top!!! cause his table and marble is gone..but then from mum's point of view, that marble is 20years old already, since we 1st moved in this house and its time to go, also its getting dirty and full of germs..well well..whats done can't be undone!!!
and i got a module computational finance..it costs me 938points!!!
schools starting on tuesday for me..boo hoo hoo :(

multiple attempts at constructing my survey questions..still incomplete..this is so bad..tomorrow sup is back from her leave..that means i got to churn out something soon and email it to her..
this thingy kinda spoils the whole festive mood, making me can't enjoy properly..what a way to begin the new year!
anyway..yesterday me and boyfriend went to ikea at tampines, wanted to buy a new coffee table for the living room, but the model that i want is out of stock..roars..then i eyed a shelf that is suitable to take over the space of my cupboard in my study area that i am going to throw away after i graduate..making way for my TV set..transforming my study area into an entertainment room..haha..since i didn't have any furniture to buy..ended up buying a bamboo plant for boyfriend to put on his office table..symbolising that his career will prosper and climb up the corporate ladder..wanted to buy cactus too, to block all the small people and menace..but then boyfriend say he don't know how to look after plants, so slowly then buy more plants..
anyway this weekend will have to go down to ikea again to buy a table for granny, and go to giant to buy soft drinks for her for CNY..today went to granny house after running errand for mum..it feels great today cos i performed a filial task..drove granny to the potong's market and helped her carry grocery...its tough to lug all those things home with the trolley..then had lunch at granny's and accompanied her awhile before coming home..
OK!! managed to bid for my modules, RE negotiation and globalistion..scary!! fancy having to bid 800 pts for globalisation, and its only our own fac people taking that mod..luckily during close bid i went to top up pts to 1500..close shave..intitially i only bid 500..
now contemplating whether i want to take reproductive health or drugs and society..hmm hmm..

oh my aching fingers!!! spent the whole weekend rolling pineapple balls for pineapple tarts..rolled a total of 12kg !!! followed by peeling 2kg of cashew nuts and now my thumb got blister...but no choice..for business sake!!!
sunday morning..dear and i was supposed to go macs to eat mc griddles and we were about to head out when he heard that mummy was planning to go to mustafa to buy baking ingredients..he wants to go walk there and explore..and so my macs breakfast became chapati, thosai and apong...and my gosh..mustafa is a...i don't know what word can describe that place...amazing? probably...anyway..i bought muruku from there..and its yummy..so maybe need to go back there again..think dear must be the happiest.. :)
this weekend haven't been to town yet..and probably the next few too..because of all the baking going on..then weekend, needless to say..got to do my FYP...sobs..roars..so much to do yet so little time..

new year!!! this year me and dear didn't do much, we just hanged out at my living room, watching TV and peeling cashew nuts..now my 2 thumbs are super sore..what to do, have to bake cookies for my business again..the CNY is coming..
close to midnight, we open a bottle of sparkling wine and drank all..i got tipsy after that..oops..
that day, as usual i went to pick dear when he end work, headed down to orchard for a little stroll..and dear took this brochure of TOY'r'us and there was a 20% off that day only..tempting..we went there and wanted to just buy taboo so that we can play sometime with my cousins..and my gosh..last box on the shelf..of course we grabbed it!! but haven't play with it yet..
the new year is here and it's time to do some planning le..so many stuffs to plan..headache...
1st..i want to plan a potluck party at my house..
2nd..plan for my grad trip with dear to australia, after much deliberation about the destination
3rd..plan what i want to study after i grad
4th..plan all the other things which i haven't plan
5th..be consistent with my dissertation

Finally we managed to all meet up for christmas!!!
The extinct gang gathered at vivocity because shiwei just came back from batam, so we all went there to wait for the arrival of her boat..haha..not really, just for convenience sakes..
We went to modestos to eat, 6 girls, 1 appetizer, 2 pizzas, 2 pastas..
Fun time to remiminsc the good old days of PL and not forgetting the gossip moments..this time..we had fun trying to recall our teachers name, but all we could remember was her nickname, and had to go home to flip yearbook to find out her name..heheh.. :)
2008 also marks 10 years of friendship for us!!!
It is really great to have a group of friends that are bonded, though we don't always have periodic gatherings, but the times spend and the effort made to meet up..happified!!!
And i like to receive christmas cards from them!! every year no fail we send each other cards, i feel so happy whenever i open the envelope!! cause i wasn't forgotten!! :)
That night, i organised a gift exchange too..and i got a doggy door stopper from yeans, supposed to put it at my door and take a photo and show it to her..but i have yet to use it and take it out from the wrapper, it's just too cute to be used! I am excited to see shiwei use philifer's lamp too!
This time we have already fixed our next gathering which will be in March, when yean moves to her new house..
well well..happy that they liked the college that i made for them..
EXTINCT is now known as SLEEPS..made up of the first alphabet of our names..and i had to convert my lydia and use my chinese name to form the last S..
