first up!!!
saturday had dad's birthday celebration, dinner at a hokkien restaurant with his friends and us..
of course, dinner was paid and shared between me and bro..
interestingly, seeing those 6 men, who are all near retirement age, of course including my dad..
things that they discuss..really makes me tickle..
there's a developer, a contractor, a banker, a property agent, an accountant, a finance personel..
all in all, actually when they all decide to retire and maybe want to set up a company..there are all well versed and prepared already..they can set up a property company..
one developers, then constructs, 2 to handle finances $$$, one to do the mortgage and loans, and finally one to market and sell the development..whahaha!!!
and of course if they want, they can always hire me too..after all i am a real estate grad, soon to be!!
and then, they all start asking when i am graduating and yes, now its going to recession period, and so all the old wise men say..when economy is bad, hard to find job, then carrying on studying..if economy good and can find job, then stop studying..so the 5 friends were all persuading and telling dad that he should let me continue to study and do masters..or even so, go abroad and study..how about australia? since the currency is falling...hehe..maybe i can go there to learn baking!!!
they were all my dad's friends either from secondary school, or NS army..or when from his 1st job..and they all had a common notion about my dad..an accountant's money is really very hard to earn..
